Most of these images were taken while staying in Keswick in the northern lakes.
Ambleside, Grasmere, Hawkshead and Lakeside have also proved beautiful places to stay.
Noel has caught Autumn’s woodland colours, lit by transient light, mountains set against threatening skies and all the vivid colours of Spring.
All this wonder reflected in the waters of the lakes.
The wind deserves a mention, nearly blowing Megan (black Labrador) and Noel into the abyss!
Noel and Chrissie try to organise at least one visit here each year - Noel says it’s like a breath of fresh air!
