Disaster Strikes!

Disaster struck after trekking 3 hours cross-country, over stiles, through muddy fields and ditches - no trips, stumbles or miss-haps through all these tricky parts of my trek, no I wait until the end of the walk, along a clear stretch of well maintained tow-path.
It all kicked off while passing a family with 3 Staffordshire bull terriers I try to guide my dog Bella on by but she has other plans deciding to stop dead in front of me. My momentum carries me forward. Before I know it I’m on my back with the sound of my DSLR lens rolling away from me along the gravel . . . my main thought was “this is going to be expensive!” The lens had ripped the lens mount away from the camera body. The viewfinder housing lay on the gravel next to me. No real damage to myself except a grazed elbow.

As has happened in the past and will no doubt happen again in the future, accidents happen, but I will not allow them to deter me from my passion.

Just incase my clients are wondering,
I still have another couple of cameras in my kit so no need to panic :-)
