Historic photographs of our past are priceless and irreplaceable.
So, quite rightly, I’m constantly asked to revitalise worn and tattered prints.
Disaster struck after trekking 3 hours cross-country, over stiles, through muddy fields and ditches.

Riding high over the Eccleshall area at around 7am this morning in a hot air balloon! You might have spotted us?
Flight from Woodseaves to a field near Wootton, just south of Eccleshall. Wind about 3-5 knots 16ºC - coolest part of the day.
Many thanks to Helena & Mark for the ride!
I was invited to talk about my more purist landscape and also my more ‘off the wall’ creative photography, to the ladies of the Swynnerton & Yarnfield WI group last night.
My top photo tips got the evening rolling. I thought they might enjoy looking at my short selection of landscapes, but was pleasantly bowled over at their reaction to my more creative work. They appeared a little ‘Spellbound’ at times. I thought they might even start ‘Running Up That Hill’!
Q&As were encouraged throughout.
They were a very welcoming and friendly WI group who looked after me and even gave me biscuits and a lovely piece of cake to have with my mug of tea!
I would be happy to return and show more of my work one day . . .

Read MoreDespite terrible weather the week before our visit and just after we got back, we were very lucky avoiding the rain.
You needed to get up around 3:30am to catch the soft light - which I did once. My collision with Bella in the sand dunes of Embleton Bay restricted my activities to evening light just after evening meals. You see waking up early wasn’t too much of a problem, but my right leg and chest proved extremely painful for the following 2-3 weeks.
Not my best images, but maybe enough to give you a flavour of our trip.
Turned out to be a bit of a ‘Damp Squid’ but still managed to enjoy taking photos of the plants and visitors in the rain! It kept me entertained for hours.

I’ve just returned from Northumberland with new images to process.
Day 3 was a bit of a disaster - hit by a Labradoodle at 200 mph! I can’t believe the devastating pain a suffered for the rest of the trip. We’re all friends now Xx
